Myron always screams DADDDDY!!!!! when I walk in the door after work. It is the single best highlight of my day!

Being a dad is the best thing I’ve ever done, and I try to take that responsibility very seriously. This morning, I listened to an old conference talk by Sister Cook, and she talked about how it is incumbent on the older generation to be the examples for the younger generations. The phrase she used was, “Don’t do anything that you’d be embarrassed to see your children doing.” Something good to remember.

Fathers like you give me hope for the next generation.

As a dad… I couldn’t agree more
I think I had “father hunger” when I was growing up so much so that I want to ensure my son doesn’t feel the same way… it’s my chance to provide him what I wish I had growing up…

Thanks for the comment. I'm trying hard to understand how and why so many fathers don't take that responsibility and honor more seriously.

A lot of the decisions I made in my life, especially as a teenager, were decisions made only because I didn’t want to disappoint my daddy. It would hurt me to hurt him. I cannot imagine my life without my father.

Me too Christy. In fact, although my father died in 1998, I still think of how he would feel about certain decisions.

You know, what I remember best from that day, was the exhibit at the Smithsonian of all of the First Ladies Dresses! I am still talking about it! I loved that !
This series is so beautiful!!! I wonder if I can get it to print out, I would like to put it in my scrapbook!
